The Perfect is not one of my creations.
It uses the recipe from the book written by Mr Emile Lefeuvre in 1889: “Methods for making yourself American, English, and Italian drinks”.
It was already referred to as the “Perfected Saint James Rum Cocktail”.
That says it all!
Perfect Saint James

Recette
Pour into a mixing glass:
- 4 cl SAINT JAMES Blanc Impérial 40% vol.
- 2 cl SAINT JAMES Fleur de Canne
- 0.5 cl Anisette
- 0.5 cl Maraschino
- 0.5 cl SAINT JAMES sugar cane syrup
- 2 dashes of bitter orange
- 4 dashes of SAINT JAMES Bitters
Stir about thirty times with a bar spoon.
Pour into a cocktail glass and top with a twist of lemon zest.
- 4 cl SAINT JAMES Blanc Impérial 40% vol.
- 2 cl SAINT JAMES Fleur de Canne
- 0.5 cl Anisette
- 0.5 cl Maraschino
- 0.5 cl SAINT JAMES sugar cane syrup
- 2 dashes of bitter orange
